Description
Step into a thought-provoking exhibition where mythology, memory, history, and contemporary life come together through immersive installations by eight leading Asian artists.
Spirits Melt to Flesh, curated by Sam I-shan, transforms Bangkok Kunsthalle into a space where moving image, sound, and sculpture reveal hidden narratives that shape our everyday lives. The exhibition explores how regional histories, social realities, and cultural myths continue to influence the present in ways that are often unseen or difficult to explain.
Housed within the atmospheric former printing house that is Bangkok Kunsthalle, the exhibition creates a dialogue between the artworks and the building itself, allowing visitors to experience the space as part of the storytelling.
Featured artists include Anthony Chin, Daniel Hui, HeeSue Kwon, Hsu Che-Yu & Chen Wan-Yin, Lieko Shiga, Soe Yu Nwe, and Taiki Sakpisit.
If you’re looking for a free contemporary art experience in Bangkok, this exhibition offers an immersive journey through film, sound, sculpture, and powerful visual storytelling.
