Baan Silapin – Bangkok’s Artist House on the Khlong Bang Luang Canal
Profile
Step back in time at the Artist’s House (Baan Silapin Bangkok), a beautifully preserved wooden riverside house located along Khlong Bang Luang Canal. This charming community art space blends Thai heritage, local crafts, and performing arts, offering visitors a glimpse into traditional canal-side life. The highlight is the Hun Lakhon Lek puppet performance — an enchanting show of Thai puppetry performed by local artists on weekends. The house also features art galleries, handmade souvenirs, coffee shops, and workshops for painting and mask-making. Peaceful yet vibrant, Baan Silapin is one of Bangkok’s most authentic cultural gems, just a short ride from MRT Bang Wa.
